Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces are the country's largest community-based disciplined forces. The Ansar Act 1948 started the journey of this force and in 1976, two more units were formed called Village Defense Team and Battalion Ansar. Currently, the number of members of this force is about 61 lakh and the main three parts are: 1. Ansar forces 2. Battalion Ansar 3. Village Defense Forces Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces are constituted and operated as a 'discipline force' according to Article 152 of the Bangladesh Constitution and the slogan of the force is "Peace, order, development, security we are everywhere."
